Notes on the Story

These are in no particular order. I'll update it as needed.

1. Sparkles? nope
2. Mind-reading? nope
3. Other talents? Yes. SM created her various vamps' talents as she needed, and I'm doing the same.
4. What is Edward's talent, exactly? Well, I don't know about "exactly," but the idea is that it really should be literally impossible for him to resist draining Bella. Yet he not only can resist, but his resistance also can grow stronger with repeated exposure. Basically, I thought that merely saying that he resists killing her because she's his mate would mean he's always in a nearly-devastating, painful conflict when near Bella. I think that would grow tedious, not to mention making him insanely more "emo." More on this later, when I can post it without spoiling anything.
5. Why is Rosalie so out of character? *shrugs* I'm just writing her as the spirit moves me. I wasn't in the mood to write all that bitchiness, nor to invent a back-story reason for it.
6. Why can't Edward smell that Victoria has been in the area? You'll have to wait and see.
7. Why is it Volaterrae, instead of Volterra? It was called Volaterrae during the period in which the story begins.
8. Hey, did you know that Forks wasn't officially incorporated until 1945?  Yes, I know. I try to keep the places in the story time-appropriate, but Forks wouldn't cooperate, so I founded it early.
9. Did Romans really treat their slaves like that? Yes they did, though more often it was the men who had free rein with their slaves, not the women.
